This is another one of those movies that has multiple storylines that all wind up intersecting in interesting ways. The thing about this one is that it's not ostentatious or overbearing. It's just people's lives and how they work out, and dealing with random shit. And the cast is really wonderful. Maggie Gyllenhal is completely believable as the gold-digging, I-don't-care, drifter girl. Tom Arnold at first was "eh" but he really works in that role (I'm too used to seeing him in comedy roles). Lisa Kudrow is perfect as an uptight, relationship-phobic single woman. The rest of the cast was completely perfect too.
Messed-up relationships. Homosexuality. Abortions. Gotta love living in today's world.
