Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I love this movie. I think I've decided it's my second favorite. Usual Suspects is still my favorite, but Eternal Sunshine is freaking amazing. The imagery, the emotion, the despair, the whole thing is just sooo good. Kate Winslet is completely unexpectedly amazing in this. She seems somewhat straight-laced in some of her other work (I still haven't seen Heavenly Creatures), so this was somewhat of a surprise to me, but she's completely believeable as a quirky, impulsive, messed-up chick. Jim Carey played opposite of normal too. He's normally completely outlandish and big character actor, but in this he's really subdued in a really wonderful way. I loved it.

Easily one of my all-time favorite movies...
