This was an incredibly hard movie to watch. However since it won so many awards and had so many great reviews, I had to watch it. It was painful. Hillary Swank is an incredible actress, she's very one-note, but she can play that one note better than most people can play whole songs. The movie was incredible though, it's fairly long and very hard to watch, but it's definitely something that's worth seeing at some point. There are a few scenes toward the end that are disturbing to say the least, and I don't want to say more than that. If you know anything about the story of the real Teena Brandon, then you know how horrible it was. I knew it was coming and still didn't want to watch, but my eyes were glued to the screen.
Verdict: A must see one time, but would be hard to sit through more than that.
