So I've been doing jewelry making, and it's fun. I'm really enjoying it. Stringing beads onto wire and then crimping them off. Coming up with designs. I made a necklace, earrings and bracelet last night that I'm wearing now that I really like. It's purple (of course), and they're rather pretty. The earrings are really simple, just two kinds of beads, a flat-ish oval purple beard and seed beads on a head pin. Then the necklace and bracelet are done with the same kind of beads but they're looped around so it looks like it's a ladder. There's a name for the technique, but I don't know what it is. I think I want to stop by JoAnn's or Michael's tonight and buy more beads tonight after class. These would make great gifts. I do have to make another set like the one I'm wearing for my cousin Kelly. She's graduating from High School at the end of this school year, and it would be a good gift. But I think I'll make hers in black instead of purple because it's more her style that way.
